Clinical Professor of Occupational Therapy and Doctoral Capstone Coordinator
The Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at Wagner College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty position at the rank of Clinical Professor to serve as its Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC). Working in collaboration with the program director and occupational therapy faculty, the DCC will fully develop and oversee all elements of the program's doctoral capstone in compliance with applicable ACOTE Standards and accurately reflecting the program's curriculum design, mission, and philosophy.
The DCC will be afforded sufficient release time for the ongoing development and administration of the doctoral capstone which includes elements vital to the program's goals toward significant student learning experiences. Such elements include, but are not limited to, site development for the in-depth student capstone experience and related individual capstone project, ongoing collaboration with community partners and clinical and professional organizations, and integration of a collaborative framework across the curriculum that optimizes student preparation and mentorship opportunities within the context of the doctoral capstone.
In addition to developing and teaching capstone and research-related courses within the curriculum, as well as in areas of clinical expertise, the incumbent will contribute to overall curriculum development and play a key role in ongoing ACOTE accreditation processes. Additional position and professional expectations include student advisement; and scholarship and service to the College, community, and/or profession. Additional duties that do not interfere with the administration of the doctoral capstone may also be assigned.
Qualifications
* Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., Sc.D., OTD, or equivalent as recognized by ACOTE)
* A minimum of 5 years of full-time (or equivalent) practice experience as an occupational therapist
* Demonstrated record of teaching, scholarship, and/or service to the profession
* Ability to deploy a visionary and practical approach to identifying appropriate and meaningful capstone experiential sites and learning opportunities for students
* Initial NBCOT certification; New York State occupational therapy licensure (or eligible)
* Competency in Windows operating environment using MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail and internet programs and have the aptitude to learn and efficiently utilize the College's software platforms and systems, including its learning management system (LMS).

Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - 110,000. Wagner College considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
