Job DescriptionPosition Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. In this full-time position, you will provide specialized physical therapy services to students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. You will work closely with a transdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans that support the unique needs of each student. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to determine students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to support students' physical development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Minimum of 1-year experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a transdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices.
