DTT SMEs support ARNG unit commanders and staff, battalion through division providing doctrinal workshops, over the shoulder training and coaching during individual and collective event support at unit designated training sites Assists in the development of scenarios, script writing, tactical orders, and other supporting JELC products. Provides support for Division-Battalion units in support for the WFF specialty during live, virtual, constructive and gaming training. This job is remote with travel to training locations. Duties: SME in military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) training methods and procedures to include Simulations and Stimulations and other Mission Command Training enablers. Is responsible for a team of DTT SMEs in various subject matter areas, including: M2, Intel, C2, Fires, Protection, and Sustainment absent the WFF that the Lead will represent. Acts as an advisor, trainer, and SME for division and below units during planning through execution to include After Action Review (AAR) of collective events. Responsible for coordination of the design of scenario-based exercises to support unit commander's training objectives. Coordinates specific scripting of master scenario events list (MSEL), storyboard, or simulation control injects that are integrated with and support training exercises, and constructive staff training in a live-virtual-constructive environment. Proficiency in current Army WFF doctrine and processes, and able to identify new and emerging Army and Joint doctrine. Capable of replicating the functions of higher HQs within WFF to Battalion through Division training audiences. Coaches, teaches, and trains units during the conduct of STAFFEXs to assist the commander in achieving their training objectives. Plans for and executes constructive exercises in coordination with other elements of the MCTSP for ARNG units, to provide commanders and staffs the opportunity to exercise operations orders developed during collective training events. Provides on-site honest and relevant feedback to unit Commanders and appropriate staff members in the form of informal discussions. Prepares or provides input into a Final Exercise Report (FER) that addresses the planning, preparation, and execution of DTT supported training events. SME in military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) training methods and procedures to include the integration of Simulations and Stimulations with assistance of other MCTSP enablers. Acts as an advisor, trainer, and designated WFF SME for units during planning often focused on MDMP through execution, to include After Action Review (AAR) of collective training events. Will conduct in-depth research on doctrine, theater specific operations, lessons learned, and newly developed tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used in the development of MSEL, or simulation control injects that accurately replicate the operational environment that the training is designed for. Must determine the appropriate exercise inject methods and entry point. Ensure unit leadership understands MTC capabilities regarding operations, training, technical support, simulations, and distribution methodologies. Leading up to and during collective events, may have to synchronize the capabilities of MCTSP training capabilities assets in the absence of OST/EST including generation of reports. Responsible for administratively and operationally leading a team of skilled trainers and ensuring mission accomplishment to the highest of standards. Ensures delivery of reports. Ensures adherence to company and site policies, practices and procedures. Safeguard and maintain company and Government furnished equipment, materials, and facilities. Clearance Requirements There is a Secret Clearance requirement for this position. Required Skills & Certifications Must have previous senior Army or ARNG leadership experience with a training management background and preferably, Combat Training Center (CTC) experience. A Combat Arms with primary staff experience in command and control at Battalion or higher. Previous Battalion or higher commander preferred (or similar). At least six (6) years' combined staff experience within a specific WFF. Or eight (8) years' specialized MCTSP experience in this type of duty position. Recent experience working within the Army National Guard training support system, or a similar system. Two (2) or more years working with Army Command and Control Information Systems. Have a background of at least twelve (12) years' Military or DoD experience and at least five (5) years' experience in exercise planning using the JELC process. BA/BS subject immaterial, MA/MS (Preferred). Completion of the Command and General Staff College or equivalent level military schooling (Preferred).
