Explore this opportunity with Psomas and apply today!About being our Document Control Technician As our Document Control Technician, you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design their next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.Responsibility Highlights for our Document Control Technician Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using Prolog, and retrieve documents through Prolog software. Assist the Project Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project documents and the control and distribution of documents in Prolog Manager.Process project documents and maintain document control files in accordance with project document control procedures. Document Control Support encompasses both electronic and hard copy distribution and filing. Responsibilities include establish and maintain files; receive, index and scan documents into Prolog Manager software. Types of project documents include correspondence, field memos, submittals, pay requests, drawing log, safety notices, RFIs, and photos.The control, scanning, indexing, linking and distribution of documents in Prolog. This includes internal to LAWA PDG and external to project participants distribution of correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications. Create binders, create labels, and organize and file contract documents.Ability to train new staff on document controls proceduresMinimum Qualifications to be our Document Control Technician 2 year technical degree5 years of experience with document processing and data managementMastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional Prolog and/or Documentum highly desirable.Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners, optical character recognition.Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a large-scale, billion-dollar construction project Must be able to occasionally wrap, lift, and move boxes/packages of up to 40-poundsPreferred Qualifications to be our Document Control Technician Document processing experience at large international airportsPrevious experience in a construction environment Certification for document control professionalsHighlighted Benefits for our Document Control Technician Enjoy hybrid and flexible work schedules, an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by Psomas!A competitive salary!
