Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for managing all aspects (i.e. collection, creation, compilation, archiving, retrieval & dissemination) of Quality related documentation with emphasis on documents pertaining to customer orders, specifically highly engineered and/or sanitary orders. Additionally, the role will support the management of the Quality Management System (QMS) supporting documentation. Key to the role is supporting projects and orders to ensure on-time delivery of supporting procedural and conformance documentation to convey the approval status of product upon shipment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Project Management, Quality Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering & Production to determine activities requiring supporting documentation and/or inspection/test records.
  • Assures product and process quality by developing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) and testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes and support 3rd party inspection activities.
  • Complete quality questionnaires and forms in support of the quoting process.
  • Setup job specific working folders (i.e. electronic files) to archive Quality Assurance (QA) documentation related to order and assume management of working folder.
  • Follow order during manufacturing phase to ensure required documentation and records are generated, accurate, legible & appropriately filed in working folder. If necessary, take the lead in troubleshooting problems related to documentation generation and collection.
  • At the appropriate time, package collected documents for customer QA dossiers. Work w/appropriate parties for final document packaging & dissemination, i.e. Quality Assurance Documentation (QAD) or Certificate of Conformance (CoC) package.
  • Manage supporting level one through four QMS documentation to maintain compliance to ISO9001 requirements.
  • Field post shipment document questions, concerns. Work w/appropriate parties to resolve any issues.
  • Provide support / train shop floor associates and leaders to ensure understanding of order document requirements pertaining to specifications, procedures, and customer requests.
  • Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards and guidelines.
  • Support ISO9001 compliance and quality activities.
  • May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor, including quality related projects as directed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Organized, motivated self- starter willing and is comfortable working w/and reaching out to people in both a production & office setting. Interpersonal skills a must.
  • Ability to continually improve controls to ensure an efficient and reliable document collection and compilation process.
  • Possess a working knowledge of computers & related software. Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programs (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, SAP etc.)
  • Comfortable working in both an office & production setting.
  • Must be able to read/interpret/understand technical engineering drawings and symbols (i.e., Blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD&T)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as welding, milling, and turning.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communications skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or a 2-year associate degree preferred.
  • 3 years hands on or administrative experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Ideal candidate has experience working w/document collection, archiving and retrieval.

The anticipated salary range is what we believe to be the likely base salary range for this position at the time of posting.
