DescriptionDocumentation Clerk (Maintenance Documentation Specialist)Job Summary: This position is responsible for creating, collecting, reviewing, and storing documentation, including O & M manuals, drawings and bill of materials lists for parts to be added to the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Work Schedule: 1st Shift Day hours Candidate may work 7am to 3:30pm 7:30am to 4:00pm M-F with a 1/2-hour unpaid lunch. Responsibilities
  • Create new asset and part records in CMMS.
  • Organize physical and electronic equipment manual libraries
  • Digitize hard copy documents for electronic storage
  • Assists with the upkeep of other departmental records, documents, manuals, drawings, etc.
  • Supports the RTP quality policy and customer satisfaction mission
  • Follows safety and health guidelines when performing all duties
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
RequirementsSkills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and follow equipment manuals and drawings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF. Past maintenance management software experience such as Asset Essentials, is a plus.
  • Initiative-taking with the ability to work independently, multi-task and problem solve
  • Must be professional, dependable, flexible, and have excellent attendance.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma with 3+ years of experience in parts management or related work
  • Previous documentation and inventory management experience a plus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly
  • Communicates via phone, email, in person
  • Required to sit, perform keyboard work, for prolonged periods of time
  • Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer.
Frequently
  • Talk and hear to coordinate day-to-day phone and in person transactions
Occasionally
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Position may require close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by plant safety procedures. Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, dust, moving mechanical parts, and non-hazardous chemical agents.
