Job Description:

1. Maintains Forms Inventory Database.

2. Collaborate with Information Systems following department procedures to create and maintain doctypes and to coordinate the creation of CPOE order sets and their downtime folder versions.

3. Follows department procedure regarding the CCH forms approval process, from beginning to end, for all Cape Cod Hospital facilities.

4. Collaborate with various clinical areas and vendors regarding new and existing forms.

5. Attends and participates in Medical Record and Forms Committees for Cape Cod Hospital. Records the minutes in the absence of the Lead or Manager.

6. Compiles monthly physician delinquent and suspension lists, reviews physician report deficiencies and sends restoration of privilege letters for Cape Cod Hospital.

7. Responsible for the overall maintenance of processes and documentation related to incomplete medical physician suspension policy in accordance with Departmental, Medical Staff and regulatory agencies requirements for Cape Cod Hospital.

8. Educates Cape Cod Hospital providers on how to access and complete their records in the EMR.

9. Serves as a liaison to assist providers with questions; resolves and interprets documentation deficiencies.

10. Tracks communication with providers as it pertains to needed documentation for coding purposes.

11. Researches, identifies, and resolves duplicate medical record numbers.

12. Collaborates with management to review reports to ensure that documentation is filed correctly.

13. Serves as Department of Medical Record liaison within Hospital departments, physician offices and other Cape Cod Hospital facilities.

14. Responds to requests for release of medical record information in accordance with policies and procedures.

15. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.

16. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

DC Trainee - Grade S9

* Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Upon completion of the CCH DC Training program, the incumbent must pass a basic Medical Terminology course or pass the CCH Medical Terminology exam.

* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate efficiently.

* Upon completion of the CCH DC training program, the incumbent must pass the Cape Cod Hospital Medical Record Department Qualifying test.

* With the successful completion of the CCH DC Training program, incumbent will transfer into DC Grade 10, Job Code: 8228.

DC - Grade 10

* Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

* High School Diploma or GED.

* 12 months experience utilizing an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system or successful passage of the Medical Record Department Doc Coordinator Qualifying test.

* Successful passage of a basic Medical Terminology course OR successful passage of the CCH Medical Terminology exam

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate efficiently.

* Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to problem solve, organize, and prioritize workload to meet turnaround time benchmarks.
