DoD Systems EngineerJob Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Continental US* * *CACI is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join the Navy Command, Control, Computing, and Intelligence (C3I) division. As a Systems Engineer, you'll support the design, development, and lifecycle management of Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft systems and associated ground support equipment. This position requires you to work on-site in the Austin, TX office two days per week.Responsibilities:1. Needs and Requirements Analysis: Interface with customer and stakeholders to identify user needs, Concept of Operations, and system performance requirements.2. Functional Analysis: Collaborate with System Architects and Systems Engineers to identify and evaluate system concepts.3. Collaborative Design: Work with various engineering disciplines to analyze, design, refine, implement, and integrate hardware and software designs.4. Test and Evaluation: Lead test planning and procedure development with traceability to requirements for verification.5. Lifecycle Support: Provide expertise in the DoD lifecycle, including risk management, to identify and manage technical, cost, and schedule risks.Qualifications:Required:1. Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering2. 5+ years experience in Systems Engineering role3. Knowledge of standard DoD Systems Engineering Process and terminology4. Experience developing documentation associated with requirements, specifications, interface control, and verification & validation5. Participation in design review preparation and meeting support (System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews)6. Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering7. Active DoD SECRET security clearance8. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI security clearanceDesired:1. Familiarity with iterative development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum or Kanban and supporting tools (e.g., JIRA)2. Experience with C4ISR system design3. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering architecture frameworks (DoDAF), tools (Cameo), and generation of models4.
