As a daycare employee your responsibilities include working with the team to care for a room full of daycare dogs. This could be anywhere from 30-50 total on a given day. As Hudson Hounds prides itself on our pick-up and drop-off service for ALL our clients, the position also requires a great deal of driving the company mini-vans and directly interacting with our clients on a personal level. This position is for someone who is dedicated to working with dogs, able to handle the responsibility of watching over the group, driving responsibly. Your goal for the day is to provide a safe environment for the dogs and other staff where they can socialize, exercise and have fun!Hudson Hounds has been providing day care and boarding services for our clients since 2012. Our clients love our services as we are a home operated daycare and boarding, do all the pick-up's/drop-off's from their homes and always ensure the safety of their pets with small daycare sizes with appropriate staff to care for them.If you want to leave the normal warehouse style daycare environment or want to start to learn how to handle dogs the proper way, we are the right people to work with. We are also expanding and have future growth for those working with us.Qualifications & Daily Responsibilities:
- Experience in the industry is a plus but willing to train the right people.
- 18 years of age or older Kind, energetic and respectful animal lover
- MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE, WITH CLEAN RECORD.
- Able to be on time and ready for the responsibilities of each shift
- Able to communicate with team members to ensure the safety of all clients & staff
- Able to handle a big group of dogs (both small and large) and manage off leash play in daycare
- Willing to clean up dog pee and poop and clean up daycare rooms as needed

- willing to drive anywhere from 3 to 5 hours per day on top of their commute using company mini-vans
Job Type, Salary & Benefits:
- Full or Part Time available
- Shifts available: Monday through Sunday 8am-5pm, evening shifts available as well
- Starting pay $18/hour or based on experience
Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience. Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay (based on time worked)

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mahopac, NY 10541: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Dog handling in Daycare or shelter setting: 1 year (Required)
