We are seeking both Full Time & Part Time Positions as Kennel Technician/Assistant & Dog Walker who will do more than cleaning and disinfecting our kennels — you also learn animal care and behavior basics while assisting our team with feeding, grooming, and walking.
Responsibilities:
- To thoroughly clean and disinfect all kennels, boarding areas, and training areas
- Responsible for daily feeding and monitoring eating habits of the dogs in our care
- Observe dog appearance and activity for general physical condition, signs of illness, disease, and discontent
- Reporting signs of illness, disease, injury, or unusual activity to Manager and Trainers
- Utilize animal handling skills to ensure a safe and positive environment for the dogs
- Groom and provide care/affection for the pets: Toe Nail Trims (TNT), Brushing, Walk/exercise the dog
- Ability to restrain and control all dogs: breed sizes and types with ability to lift up to 80lbs and team lifting greater than that weight of 100 pounds.
- Required to work weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings as needed.
- Communicate all emergency situations and essential information to Manager and CEO.
Qualifications:
- Educational background- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some dog experience is a must
- Be confident in ability to take charge/ be in control of dogs
- Ability to restrain all sizes of dogs and give medications as needed
- Ability to bathe, do nail trims, and brush as needed excellent client service skills
