Domestic Violence Victim AdvocateStarting Wage Rate: $49,655 - $54,620 The Domestic Violence Victim Advocate, under the supervision of the Victim Witness Services Director, provides advocacy and crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence and other crime. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a victim advocate for domestic violence and general crime cases.
- Collaborating with law enforcement, court personnel, and human service organizations.
- Conducting crisis intervention, assessing needs, and developing service plans.
- Informing victims about the criminal justice process and their rights in that process.
- Accompanying victims to court and providing support.
- Maintaining records and data for program reports.
- Engaging in community outreach and training.
?Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
