Job Summary:#The Donation Processing Clerk coordinates donations and provides support to all areas of development and donor relations for the entire NorthStar Care Community service area.# Essential Functions:### Serves internal customers with regard to development information. Helps to maintain accurate and updated donor files. Coordinates the daily processing of contributions received by the Foundation office.# Responsible for data entry of contributions and timely acknowledgment of donations. Reports any major gift activity to supervisor to ensure appropriate acknowledgment. Researches former patients and donors to obtain all relevant information to ensure complete, accurate records in Foundation database and EMR. Assists with the preparation of progress reports for project supervisors as requested. Assists the appropriate staff with regular donor activity reports.# Assists with donor inquiries and complaints.# Handles all inquiries in a professional manner.# Reports all findings to the appropriate staff. Assists with the development of the donation process statewide.# Reports any concerns about the database management or streamlining ideas to the appropriate staff. Performs all functions of the job in the shortest time needed with the highest degree of accuracy. Assists in special event activity as needed. Manages communication with customers and co-workers, reaching acceptable outcomes. Adjusts to changes in workload and schedules based on changing departmental priorities. Processes workload on a timely basis with minimum of errors or rework required. Adheres to all local, state and federal laws regarding donations and follows all Hospice of Michigan/Arbor standards of donor integrity.############### Adheres to organizational Code of Conduct, policies and procedures. Models the C.A.R.E. Model of Service: courtesy, acknowledgment, response and empathy. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.# Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills to include adequate typing level, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and data base management. Must be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Previous customer relations experience preferred. Previous Raiser#s Edge experience and/or Blackbaud product knowledge preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective organizational, prioritization and follow-through skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to read, write and speak English and be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing in internal and external relationships for all essential job functions. The physical demands of the position include:#vision, effective speech and hearing for extensive telephone contact; repetitive motion; traveling; driving or riding in motor vehicle; standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and stretching; lifting up to twenty five (25) pounds unassisted.
