Job DetailsLevelManagementJob LocationThe Perot Museum of Nature and Science - Dallas, TXPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level4 Year DegreeDescriptionAs a member of the Prospect Management and Research team, the Donor Relations and Prospect Research Manager will support frontline fundraisers in their efforts to raise philanthropic dollars for the advancement of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. This position will be an integral player in driving prospect management and growing the major gift prospect pool. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the prospect research function, including donor profiles, corporate performance, and philanthropy.
    • Develop strategy for proactive research that will guide donor-centric and data driven decision making related to prospects and donors.
    • Research, analyze, and provide high-level research on high-net-wealth individuals, corporations, and foundations using a variety of biographical, organizational, and financial sources.
    • Produce in-depth, well-written, organized reports on prospects based on a combination of data from donor databases and available financial records.
    • Develop a system for managing prospect research requests and a process to support the sharing of ongoing interpretive data to the frontline team.
    • Strategize and support the moves management process and systems to ensure that donors receive timely and personalized correspondence.
  • Respond to reporting needs for Fundraising team for the Perot Museum.
  • Proactively Develop and export accurate email and mail lists using specific criteria defined by Development Team specifically annual giving appeals.
  • Assist with individual giving appeals, in collaboration with the Director of Annual Giving and the development team. Strengthen giving circles that generate annual support through stewardship.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development Operations to monitor the process of generation, printing, mailing, and tracking of acknowledgement letters, receipts, renewal notices, pledge payment reminders, and other correspondence related to all gifts.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of donor prospects by strategizing and crafting correspondence to welcome and acknowledge donors at different stages of the prospect pipeline and developing outreach calendars to acknowledge segments of donors.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No.QualificationsQualifications:
  • Three to five years of successful development or prospect research experience in a non-profit or institution of higher education.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data collection, verification, and analysis.
  • Familiar with internet search strategies and able to determine validity of online sources.
  • Proven experience with databases required; Salesforce software experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and be highly accurate in their work.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and maintain multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Must act with integrity and be personally accountable for his/her results.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
