Position Summary

Building a community of alumni and donors who care about and invest in Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) is a top priority for the Institutional Advancement (IA) team. We are looking for a team member to help grow this important work by focusing on the professionalism, administrative, and analytical aspects of HUC-JIR events and donor stewardship. The Donor Stewardship & Events Associate will demonstrate initiative and forward-thinking to support the growth of HUC-JIR's outreach to donors and alumni, ensure data integrity for events and stewardship, and maintain positive relations with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

* Manage IA events from start to finish, including event strategy, logistics, venue management, internal and external communications, event programming, and post-event follow-up.

* Utilize Raiser's Edge, Almabase, Mailchimp, Monday.com, MS Office Suite, and other systems to manage event details and reporting for events.

* Manage and develop appropriate strategic audience lists and follow-up for all events with the IA team and internal partners. Produce and provide event registration lists and guest profiles.

* Create all event-related registration forms in Almabase (event registration platform) and maintain IA events calendar internally and on public-facing website. Communicate with appropriate HUC-JIR leadership and faculty to ensure their availability and attendance at programs.

* Manage on-site registration experience, including venue setup, nametags, registration lists and process, and prepare necessary event-related materials for elevated on-site experience (ie. signage, collateral, displays, swag, etc.)

* Learn and implement best practices and event standards that help HUC-JIR host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

* Partner with Israeli colleagues to track event activities and synagogue visits on the HUC-JIR Taube Family Campus in Jerusalem.

* Manage ...@huc.edu email, interacting with alumni, donors, and event prospects.

* Assist with donor communications/stewardship initiatives and mailings.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

* Required: Bachelor's degree in related field

Experience

* Required: 2 years of event data management; highly comfortable and skilled with Raiser's Edge and MailChimp (or similar system)

* Preferred: Non-profit or higher education experience; experience with event management systems
