We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Door Shop Crating Specialist.If you have a construction background or experience in door and window manufacturing - you are encouraged to apply!Copy and paste the link below for an inside look at what it is like to be on the Alliance Door Products team!WAGE: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experienceSHIFT: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-FIf you have a construction background or experience in door and window manufacturing - you are encouraged to apply!YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:* Work with Production Machine Operators and Assemblers to ensure all doors are correctly palletized and accounted for prior to packaging for daily shipments.* Read and understand manufacturing work orders.* Using chops saws, pneumatic tools, banders and shrink wrap machines to correctly assemble the appropriate packaging/crating options as per the manufactured work orders.* Ensure all packaging/crates are built to meet quality standards.* Use computers and printers to ensure all packaged crating options are labeled with the appropriate information.* Accurately document the proper finished goods unit counts on all work orders so that customer packing slips can be completed accurately.* Using a forklift, transport all finished packages/crates to the designated shipping staging area.* Provide overflow relief for Door Assemblers.* Work daily with the Production Supervisor and all Shop Team Members on continuous improvement initiatives.* Follow all safety and work rule/procedures as directed.* Cross-train in other departments to provide overflow support.* Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Our Ideal candidate comes with the following skills:* 2 + Years Construction Experience* 2 + Years of Packaging and Crate Building Experience* 2 + Years Forklift Experience* High School Diploma or GED* Basic -Intermediate Computer Skills* Strong Math Skills* Strong Organizational Skills* Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills* Able to stand (8-9 hrs per day), walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.* Able to regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift items up to 70 pounds* Collaborate in team lifts for objects between 70 and 150 pounds and maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds.BENEFITS:* Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Health Savings Accounts (HSA's) with employer contributions* Retirement Plan* Paid Holidays* Paid Time Off* Paid Bereavement LeavePOSITION CLOSING: September 29, 2024ABOUT ALLIANCE DOOR PRODUCTS:We are an equal-opportunity employer and one of North America's leading distributors of high-quality door products.
