Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting OR an associate's degree and two years of accounting experience OR four years of accounting experience may substitute for the degree.

Preferences:

* Experience working with/on State budgetary process.

* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite to research and evaluate data for presentations/reporting.

* Current Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM).

* Experience in processing invoices for payment in FLAIR.

* Experience in administration of grants with a State of Florida agency/Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares, reviews, documents, and assists in the Division's operational and budgetary processes by providing documentation of performance measures, preparing the Long Range Performance Plan, making adjustments as necessary to the allotments in the operating budget, procuring office supplies for the Division, and coding and processing invoices for payment, as well as following all internal guidelines within Purchasing, Budget, and Accounting. Perform regular internal audit on purchases and provide possible improvements on tasks and purchases.

Reviews, analyzes, audits, and verifies data extracted from election records through databases to ensure accuracy of reports and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.

Reviews and ensures the accuracy of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) audits, HAVA funds balance and HAVA maintenance of effort verification. Tests the survey databases and templates for accuracy and proper functioning. Assists with reviewing and improving grants fiscally along with their processes internally. Assist division with FACTS and online grants information.

Processes and manages Notices of Election, Constitutional Amendments, and completes reimbursements from counties seeking reimbursements for special elections. Works as a WORKS Liaison, verifying and teaching P-card usage within the division.

Perform other work related duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of accounting principles; methods of compiling and analyzing data; computer applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
