The Impact You Can Make The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the Radiation Therapy team and is principally involved with the planning and quality assurance of patient treatment. He or she is operationally familiar with the equipment and radioactive materials used in Radiation Therapy.A Qualified Medical Dosimetrist is an individual who is competent to practice under the supervision of a qualified physician and qualified medical physicist.This position requires certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB).In addition to the above qualifications, a Qualified Medical Dosimetrist shall meet and uphold the AAMD Code of Ethics and the Ethical Standards of the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board as published by the AAMD and MDCB, respectively, and satisfy any state mandated regulations where applicable. This position is based in Glens Falls, NY. Hybrid work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with GFH's Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. QualificationsQualifications/Experience - Baccalaureate degree required
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in a Medical Dosimetry role or as least 5 years as a Radiation Therapist
Skills/Abilities: This individual uses critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of medical dosimetry procedures Licenses/Certificates/Registrations
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) required
- Licensed Radiation Therapist (ARRT) and N.Y.S. Dept of Health
Salary RangeThe expected salary for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $105,347.80 to $158,021.76 annually.
