SUMMARY Utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operates computer-aided design (CAD) system, nesting program (TruTops), and peripheral equipment to create electronic data for CNC machinery and Machinists to process job orders. Maintain production drawings of R2P Innovations' customers and layout assemblies systems to meet customer expectations for quality, cost, design and delivery by performing the following duties.

• Develop designs utilizing 3D modeling software (SolidWorks).
• Generate production drawings to be used on the manufacturing floor.
• Review and revise drawings for production.
• Review customer requirements and incorporate into design details.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure that designed products can be made from specified materials and will meet customer needs.
• Suggest alterations or modifications of design to obtain specified functional and operational performance.
• Support production team with necessary documents and changes in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a good understanding of CAD system and the capabilities to quickly learn R2P Innovations' preferred software. Minimum of two years of CAD experience.
• Minimum of two years of Drafting experience, which preferably includes the following: SolidWorks or Inventor is a plus.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
• Have working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Must be able to read blueprints

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree from a two-year college or university preferably in Engineering; and/or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
