Our client is seeking a skilled Drafter II to join their team on a full-time contract basis for 12 months, with possibility of extension, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. As a Drafter II, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the success of their projects.

Role Overview

  • Collaborate with Designers and Engineers to create accurate and detailed P&ID's using AutoCAD.
  • Support Document Control by picking up redlines from MOCs and incorporating them into drawings.
  • Perform general AutoCAD work for the Design Team.
  • Ensure compliance with drafting standards, methods, and practices.
  • Set up CAD environment, including libraries and layers.
  • Create project drawings, including schematics, isometrics, building layouts, and more.
  • Function as part of a project team and work under the direction of Engineers and Designers.
  • Perform field walk downs and interact with a diverse work group.
  • Work 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday with possible overtime.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic computer/PC skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of Process & Instrumentation Symbology.
  • Ability to function with little supervision and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely in an office and refinery environment.
  • Experience using Falcon and SAP is a plus.

Education & Experience

  • 1-5 years of experience in drafting or similar capacity.
  • Associate Degree in Design, Drafting, Engineer Tech or related field preferred.
  • Experience in refining, petro-chemical, or similar industry preferred.
