We are looking for a Drafter for our DeLandoffice!Summary: Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of sublet shop drawings and bill of materials in accordance with Kingspan standard drafting procedures. The Drafter-Sublet will review, peer check, and occasionally alter sublet produced shop/installation drawings of Kingspan insulated metal panels in commercial, industrial, cold storage and architectural applications. Ensure that all departmental guidelines and protocols are followed with particular attention to delivering high quality on time inputs. Help build and maintain strong relationships with functional counterparts in Estimating, Engineering, Sales and Customer Service/Project Management. Liaise with customers as needed and other external entities in the contract to ensure on time and in full delivery of scope of work. - Train and educate sublet drafters on the Kingspan standard products and processes
- Obtain and interpret information from internal order acknowledgement (products sold) and customer supplied structural and/or architectural plans.
- Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials
- Ensure business rules as they pertain to the drafting department are being followed, with special attention to targeted lead times and peer checking as well as product standards.
- Coordinate panel analysis with Kingspan engineering personnel.
- Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials.
- Review and update drawings to customer redline corrections as needed.
- Produce bill of material (BOM) list in company format from final approved set of drawings.
- Provide take-offs on every project to verify material that will need to be ordered by customer service.
- Interface with required internal and external project stakeholders.
QualificationsEducation/Experience:
- Technical degree with high drafting content, or minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience in drafting involvement
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel and architectural drawings
- Good communication and mathematical skills
Computer Skills:
- Competency in AutoCAD required. (Revit or Tekla experience a plus).
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.
