We are currently seeking a Dredge Operator for our Hattiesburg, MS plant on early day shift.

What you will do:
* Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
* Help in the production of natural aggregates
* Operate at least 3 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.), hydraulic pumps, power winches
* Operate equipment in quarry or production
* Must have excavator and dozer experience
* May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
* Ability to work alone on dredge for long periods of time
* Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
* Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
* Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
* Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
What you will need:
* Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
* Positive, Team-based attitude
* The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
* The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
* The ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and the ability to determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
* The ability to lower anchor poles to verify depths of excavations, using winches, or scan depth gauges to determine depths of excavations. Directs or assist workers placing shore anchors and cables, laying additional pipes from dredges to shore, and pumping from pontoons
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* A minimum of 2 years of experience
Working Conditions and physical environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
