As a driver, you may be asked to perform a variety of transportation services: provide safe and courteous chauffeured transportation to and from special events and activities using a fleet of ClarkLindsey owned vehicles that range from a car up to a small event bus. This is a flexible and fun opportunity to be out and about with residents, engaging in special events, and building relationships.
The current opening is an as-needed position. Hours and days are determined based on activities and events that are planned for the residents at ClarkLindsey. There is no set-schedule. For this position, it is necessary to be able to push residents who require a wheelchair, and to safely walk from parking areas into and around venues such as parks, malls, movie theaters, and other locations where a resident might be enjoying a special event or activity. The ability to safely drive under all weather conditions during the day and at night is required. Benefits

Job Requirements
- Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all teammembers must receive the annual influenza vaccine (exemption requests will bereviewed). We also encourage team members to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine
- Must have a valid and properly classified driver's license issued by the Secretary of State
- Must be able to obtain an Illinois License Type J restriction (J05) with-in two weeks of hire date.
- Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, including providing assistance with entering and exiting the vehicles. Pushing wheelchairs for some distance is common in this role
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a Motor Vehicle Record check after a contingent offer is made
- Must be able to navigate using GPS, Maps, and written directions
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language
- Must abide by ClarkLindsey's HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee handbook
- Must possess the ability to deal professionally, tactfully with residents, co-workers and the general public
