About this role: Responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips as scheduled; assists in performing housekeeping duties as required.Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum six (6) months experience as a bus/van driver required.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Drive van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
- Assist Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and offbus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
- Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
- Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
- Clean and wash vehicle.
- May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
- Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess current and valid driver's license consistent with the requirements determined by size ofvehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
- Preferred CDL endorsement required for 15 passengers or more
- Must possess personal driving record consistent with the requirements of the Driver Selection Policy
- Doctor's statement verifying free from communicable disease, if applicable to your state
- Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community
