**SUMMARY:** The Driver Long Haul role is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting product and materials to ensure daily operational business needs are met.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Perform all pre and post trip checks as per protocol.
* Operate the provided equipment within the guidelines of the Georges Fleet Safety policy.
* Operate ELD properly and legally.
* Obey all local, State, Federal and DOT regulations.
* Maintain a safe work environment.
* Maintain satisfactory attendance and job performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Obey all animal welfare rules and regulation laws.
* Return signed proof of delivery paperwork in a timely manner.
* All other duties as assigned.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
* **Required**
* Current Class A CDL Drivers license
o Must be able to pass DOT physical
o Must be 18 years or older
o Must be eligible to work in the United States
o 1 year of experience with completed driver's school training OR 2 years of experience without driver's school training
**Preferred**
o Poultry or meat processing experience
