Be part of an extraordinary life!The Cypress is recruiting for a hospitality focused Driver/Valet to join our team! This position is responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips as scheduled as well as providing daily Valet services. The schedule is full-time, Mon-Fri, 12:00pm - 8:30pm, driving Noon - 4:30pm and valeting 4:30 - 8:30pm.Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver/Valet:
- Pickup and deliver residents safely to all scheduled activities where transportation is needed.
- Make miscellaneous trips for the office to the bank, printer, post office, etc. as needed.
- When vehicles arrive for valet, opens doors and greet members and guests.
- Carefully help members and guest who need assistance. Retrieve/Replace walkers, wheelchairs, etc. and assist when a need is perceived.
- Perform vehicle parking duties at the clubhouse for members and guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of six to twelve months' experience as a bus/van driver required.
- Must be at least 18 years or older and have a valid driver license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Prefer to have a CDL with P endorsement or be willing and eligible to obtain one within 1 year of hire.
- Ability to count and perform simple logic exercises to properly park and retrieve vehicles.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with both members and other employees.
- Ability to fully comprehend others and communicate in a respectful, understanding, and empathetic manner demonstrating tolerance and exemplary customer service with members, families, guests, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates and any other outside contacts.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
