Overview:
The Drop and Count Specialist is responsible for the collection, processing, and recording of currency from all gaming operations.
Responsibilities:
- Performs job functions in accordance with the System of Internal Controls, departmental policies, and procedures.
- Removes drop boxes and slot bill acceptors containing daily cash drop from gaming operations.
- Removes and replaces cassettes, bill validator boxes from kiosk units and applicable cash dispenser machines.
- Performs replenish process for kiosk units and cash dispenser machines, preparing the readiness for cassettes to be deployed to gaming floor when needed.
- Prepares currency for count machine processing, by removing the funds from the boxes and/or cassettes and placing it with the accurate asset assignment to maintain accurate revenue reporting. Must be performed with care.
- Counts money with the aid of counting machines.
- Effectively counts and controls large volumes of currency.
- Performs and documents poker chip count.
- Utilizes Casino software to perform all fund transfers from the count room to kiosk room and the Cage/Vault areas.
- Ensures that the controlled keys assigned are returned promptly at the end of each day or process.
- Verifies condition of money, examining for damaged and/or counterfeit money.
- Operates large equipment in count room and on gaming floor with care for safety of patrons and employees.
- Operates currency counters in count room with care and resolves basic machine issues.
- Communicates with patrons on the gaming floor as needed in a professional manner delivering excellent customer service.
- Participates in routine upkeep and cleaning of count room and all applicable equipment.
- Ensures supplies and count room equipment is ready for operations each day.
- Participates in training team members as needed.
- Notifies management of malfunctioning equipment when basic troubleshooting cannot fix the issue.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Experience working in a related field and /or a hospitality or gaming environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical ability.
- Basic proficiency in 10-key and other office equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.

Location: 3400 Highway 246 Minimum Pay Rate: $19.03 per hour Maximum Pay Rate: $21.87 per hour
