We are seeking multiple compassionate and dedicated Addiction Counselors to join our clients teams in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
- Educate clients and their families about addiction and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Must hold a Maryland Board of Professional Counselors license as an LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, LGADC, LCADC, or LCSW-C, or be certified as a CAC-AD or CSC-AD. A copy of the licensure certificate will be required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in addiction counseling or a related field.
- Strong understanding of addiction, recovery, and treatment methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
