Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE Reporting to the Dry Process Crew Supervisor, the Dry Plant Operator Level 1 is responsible for delivering quality concentrate in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | Production GMA Mining USA
  • Safe and efficient operation of plant equipment.
  • Safe and efficient operation of forklifts and skid steer to load trucks and move products.
  • Safe and efficient operation of Front-End Loader to feed dry plant.
  • Perform all work in a satisfactory manner as instructed by the Supervisor or more senior staff.
  • Promptly report any accidents, incidents or potential hazards to the Supervisor or more senior staff.
  • Assist with plant operation and maintenance when needed and as directed by more senior staff.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Present a positive and attentive image for GMA Mining USA.
  • Cooperate with and be courteous to other employees.
  • Workplace inspections, Take-5's and JSA's prior to commencing work.
  • Report immediately to the Leading Hand, Supervisor, or more senior staff any problems with product quality, or equipment that may affect the quality or productivity of GMA Mining USA's operations.
  • Take responsibility for your own health and safety as well as that of all your co-workers.
  • Assist in lab when extra help is needed:
  • Collect production grab samples as required
  • Conduct quality control analyses of samples through use of sieves, petrographic microscope, magnetic separation, and other laboratory techniques.
  • Maintain a database of sample details and results and prepare summaries as required
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by your supervisor.

  • Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Frequently exposed to noisy conditions.
  • Frequently exposed to dusty conditions.
  • The schedule for this position will be on a rotating day and night 12-hour schedule (630am-630pm M-Th followed by 630pm-630am M-W); however, the work schedule may vary based on production needs and will be set by your Supervisor and Manager.
  • Occasional work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme cold and heat.
