Drywall Finisher Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Romulus , MI within the Construction Industry . Drywall Finisher Job Summary: The Drywaller Finisher will use carpentry skills to build, erect, install, and repair various structures, other equipment, and fixtures throughout the facility and in production. Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation
- Conducting repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required
- Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster
- Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels
Pay: $ 18-2 2 /hour, based on experienceDrywall finisher Qualifications:
- Education : High School Diploma or related field preferred.
- Experience : Three years' experience in the building trades field, previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
- Certificates & Licenses : None.
- Other Requirements : Strong stakeholder service skills. Exceptional dedication to dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic. Ability to engage a team toward a common mission. Additional abilities required:
- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Ability to read, write and use micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other related measurement equipment required.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
- Works well as part of a team.
