Job DescriptionJob Title: Drywall Project Manager / Estimator gpac, a 30+ year recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the drywall industry. Our client company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drywall Project Manager/Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing drywall projects from inception to completion, including estimating, planning, and overseeing the construction process. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Estimation:
    • Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for drywall and related projects using software such as AutoCAD, The Edge, or On Center.
    • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare bids and quotes.
    • Ensure estimates are aligned with project goals and client expectations, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead multiple drywall projects simultaneously, ensuring all work is completed on schedule and within budget.
    • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all aspects of the project are understood and executed properly.
    • Manage all phases of the project from pre-construction to closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and address any issues that may arise.
  • Client and Team Collaboration:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Lead client meetings, provide regular project updates, and ensure client satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with the internal team to improve processes, increase efficiency, and meet company objectives.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and financial reports.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports and final project documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of project management and estimating experience in the drywall industry or a related construction field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with estimating software (AutoCAD, The Edge, On Center) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with General Contractors (GCs) or as a Project Engineer, with the ability to transition into drywall project management.
  • OSHA 30 certification or other relevant safety certifications.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
