Job Description:
OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Senior Business Analyst in our Boulder, CO location. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting and effectively communicating user requirements for small to large size projects of average to significant complexity for features across the Garmin Pay ecosystem. The Business Analysts also work with stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes. Essential Functions
  • Partner with stakeholders to determine the tactical roadmap for upcoming features of the Garmin Pay ecosystem
  • Actively encourage collaboration and professionalism in a team environment with Garmin associates to achieve goals
  • Actively implement continuous improvement for business processes and engineering business analysis processes
  • Understand and communicate the business impact of issues and how they relate to engineering-owned solutions
  • Engage with teams in scrum and agile practices including: quarterly prioritization/planning, project retrospectives, sprint retrospectives, sprint planning, etc.
  • Proactively identify and contribute to the resolution of ancillary discrepancies and conflicts between interdepartmental applications and strategic channels on an enterprise level
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for related business processes
  • Provide functional product ownership and leadership to ensure stakeholders requirements are met
  • Make substantial contributions to determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives
  • Manage development and documentation of requirements from multiple global Garmin product managers using use cases, scenarios, complex and perhaps conflicting business workflow analyses
  • Identify interdependencies between projects and overall business strategies and facilitate aligning them to benefit Garmin
  • Collaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members and business clients
  • Work with mobile app and web development teams along with API team to implement features and products
  • Collaborate with device engineering team to support new services
  • Work closely with UX design team to create the best customer experience
  • Collaborate with QA team to define test cases and assist with testing efforts
  • Collaborate with legal and privacy teams to ensure Garmin is following privacy guidelines
  • Mentor engineering teams on business processes
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Excellent academics (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)
  • Must have solid experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner for large scale software projects
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements that meet business needs
  • Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise in the development of product/concept development plans
  • Proven track record in successfully executing projects of any scale or complexity
  • Superior analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of competency
