Job Description:
What is a DSP?A DSP is a Direct Support Professional who works in the disability community to assist individuals in their daily lives. From cooking and cleaning to maintaining personal hygiene and providing job training, DSPs support the people of EP!C to achieve their goals and live their best lives. What are the Requirements?Must have a High School Diploma or GED.Some DSPs are required to possess a valid Driver's License, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.DSP Opportunities Community Day Services - 1st Shift Only - Monday-Friday
  • Supporting individuals in a classroom setting.
  • Provide natural learning opportunities.
  • Assist in leisure activities such as exercise, reading, etc.
  • Provide additional support for an aging population.
  • Engage in meaningful activities such as cultivating social, life, & sensory skills.
  • Assist with daily living and personal care.
Community Living Services - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts (Set Schedules) - Every Other Weekend
  • Supporting individuals in a group home setting.
  • Provide natural learning opportunities.
  • Assist in leisure activities such as exercise, reading, etc.
  • Provide additional support for an aging population.
  • Engage in meaningful activities such as cultivating social, life, & sensory skills.
  • Assist with daily living and personal care (bathing, cooking, eating, cleaning, etc.).
  • Escort individuals on outings - to appointments, sporting or entertainment events, church, or EP!C activities, etc.
Community Options - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts (Does Not Have Set Schedules) - Flexible Hours
  • Supporting individuals in a Host Home or Supported Living or Apartment setting.
  • Flexible hours that can range from 4 hours to 6 days.
  • Relief staff stay in the residence while a provider or guardian is away.
  • Attend and support on Host Home vacations.
  • Provide transportation where individuals need.
  • Support independence by observing and documenting daily activities.
  • Provide natural learning opportunities.
  • Assist in leisure activities such as exercise, reading, etc.
