At St. Coletta's, our mission is to serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can achieve their greatest potential.The Community Day Services (CDS) provides a variety of programs to enhance each individual's adaptive living skills, economic self-sufficiency, overall level of independence and integration into the community.The CDS is seeking a Training Specialist/DSP to join the Community Day Services Program.Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4 PMPay Rate: $20.54 hourly Responsibilities:
- The individual will be responsible for implementing methods of instruction consistent with current skills and performance curriculum
- Adapts work stations to meet the needs of the consumers: maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Prepares required documentation for agency caseworkers
- Provides crisis counseling and emergency interventions to consumers as needed
- Responsible for transporting clients in a Van
- Monitors and records operating conditions of vehicle daily and reports mechanical problems to the Supervisor immediately
- While transporting clients, complies to route, safety and other transportation procedures
- Tracks and records client transportation and other information as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Able to demonstrate approved behavior management techniques
- DSP certification preferred, not required (In-house training available)
- CPR and First Aide Certification preferred not required
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a criminal background check and physical/drug test
- Pass a MVR background check
