Job Summary

Gibson, the iconic guitar brand that has shaped music history for generations, is looking for a talented DTC Photographer to join our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team at our Nashville G-Ops location. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Gibson's online presence, capturing the spirit of our legendary products and accessories while working collaboratively to elevate the studio's creative output. This is an on-site position that requires regular attendance at our Nashville Studio.

As a DTC Photographer, you will work in a structured, high-volume e-commerce photography studio, producing consistent, accurate, and detailed images for Gibson's website. Your primary focus will be on high-quality product photography, showcasing a range of items, including guitars, accessories, apparel, and lifestyle merchandise. Our emphasis is on consistently capturing high-quality images to create a best-in-class experience for our online customers.

Essential Functions

* Photography Execution: Capture high-quality product images for e-commerce, including guitars, accessories, lifestyle merchandise, flat lays, and on-figure shots.

* Enthusiasm: Embrace challenging tasks with enthusiasm, demonstrating a strong drive to find innovative solutions and deliver exceptional results.

* Creative Alignment: Partner with the DTC team to ensure visuals reflect Gibson's brand standards.

* Integration: Coordinate with other G-OPS teams to smoothly incorporate product imagery into the overall production and operational workflows.

* Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive team environment, promoting quality and efficiency across production.

* Consistency: Ensure all images meet high-quality standards in lighting, composition, and styling

* Workflow: Follow studio processes to meet deadlines and sustain productivity in image capture.

* Production Focus: Operate within a structured, production-focused photography setting where efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail are key to meet the high-volume demands.

* Innovation: Research and propose new photography techniques and trends to keep the studio at the forefront of the industry.

* Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate a commitment to improving skills and processes each day, continuously enhancing the quality and efficiency of work to meet evolving standards.

* Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

* Practical work with photography equipment including lighting, computer, and cameras.

* Strong eye for detail, especially regarding color accuracy, image clarity, and product sheen.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Demonstrated eagerness to learn and stay current with industry trends, continuously seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

* Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize.

* Willingness to learn and try new things.

* Familiarity with guitars is a plus, aiding in understanding product details that contribute to more accurate and compelling images.

Required Education and Experience

* BA or BFA in photography or equivalent degree or related work.

* 3+ years of experience with an e-commerce or product photography studio setting.

* Photography Assisting experience is desired.

Essential Knowledge

* Firm understanding of Mac Computers, Canon Cameras, and Studio Lighting.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Able to work as part of a team but also time manage tasks independently.
