The Department of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position within the Division of Infectious Diseases.The Division of Infectious Diseases and Duke Health Innovative Practice (DHIP) are seeking three full-time Infectious Disease physicians for expansion of ID services into Duke Raleigh Hospital. These specialist positions will serve the Raleigh community and provide both inpatient and outpatient consultation services. Each position will hold a member/advisor role each for Infection Control, Antibiotic Stewardship, or HIV long-acting injectable program, and will collaborate with Duke ID Division leadership on these efforts. These positions will report to the Division Chief of Infectious Diseases at Duke.Eligible candidates must hold an MD/DO degree and be board-certified or board-eligible through the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Diseases.Duke Raleigh Hospital has been affiliated with Duke University Hospital since 1998. It has 204 inpatient beds and offers a comprehensive array of services, including cancer care, cardiovascular care, neuroscience, advanced gastrointestinal care, and wound healing. Duke Raleigh Hospital has laboratory and imaging services, a pain clinic, and 24/7 emergency care. The Division of Infectious Diseases is dedicated to providing excellent clinical care, training the next generation of physicians, and advancing our knowledge of ways to improve the health of individuals and the community.The opportunities and responsibilities of this position include the following:• Inpatient consult service with pharmacy support• Dedicated ID outpatient clinic with support from Duke ID's Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Program.• Weekend call approximately 1:4• Dedicated time for one of the following leadership roles: Infection Control, Antibiotic Stewardship, HIV long-acting injectable program.• Opportunities for research via collaborations with Duke Raleigh providers and the Duke ID Division.• Weekly case conferences and journal club / research conferences through the Duke ID Division• Must be board certified or board eligible in ID and qualified to obtain a NC State Medical LicenseOur highly desired Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC area is consistently ranked as one of the top places to live.
