Primary Role ** This position can be located in any American Water Office ** Provide Project Management Information System (PMIS) e-Builder support and guidance to planning engineers and project managers in the engineering function, other internal functional stakeholders, and to external 3rd party contractors and suppliers utilizing the American Water PMIS. Customer oriented role with a focus on solving business partner needs in a timely and effective manner. Provide customer solutions related to the PMIS system of record (eBuilder) and a range of our business systems used in the delivery of capital projects. Position to review data and workflows, provide training and support, and be the centralized project administrator for the PMIS system. #LI-DM1 Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program to support e-Builder PMs and have it included into our online virtual training platform, including compliance management of annual refresher training.
- Manage ongoing communications with users across the business
- Work cross functionally to ensure capital efficiency and excellence across capital project management activities delivered by the state operating company teams.
- Manage and validate system access, including to approved outside parties.
- Provide feedback and training to improve understanding and execution of proper processes and workflows within the PMIS system of record (eBuilder).
- Resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Develop business requirements and support development of system enhancements in support of a self-serve model.
- Manage e-Builder System Specific Responsibilities including but not limited to: Project Setup; User Provisioning; Onboarding and Training of new users; User Technical Support; Managing Reports and Folder subscriptions.
- Educate the AW user base regarding any new e-Builder functionality and product enhancements. Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (e.g., fluency in report writing and presentations).
- Effective interpersonal skills (e.g., persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting)
- Strong project management skills (e.g. planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and reporting on project activities, managing concurrent projects).
- Strong knowledge of e-Builder or related PMIS tools.
- Working knowledge of construction industry including methodology, terminology, workflow/paper flow of planning, design, and construction activities, as well as demonstrated knowledge of contract documents and specifications.
- Intermediate level experience with computerized systems, database management and spreadsheet and word-processing programs to manipulate data and create reports.
- Strong knowledge of computer software such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience/Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2 years' experience in business system support.
- Experience in business system support duties.
- Utility experience preferred. Travel Requirements
