The E-Commerce Accounting Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, accurately recording and reconciling day-to-day accounting functions of e-commerce department, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required. Essential FunctionsTransaction Recording: 1. Record and reconcile daily e-Commerce transactions accurately and in a timely manner. 2. Monitor and classify income, expenses, and other financial activities associated with e-Commerce operations. 3. Perform root cause analysis when required and prepare corrective entries. Bank Reconciliation: 4. Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. 5. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a proactive manner. Accounts Payable and Receivable: 6. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes specific to e-Commerce transactions. 7. Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve payment-related issues. Financial Reporting: 8. Prepare and generate regular financial reports related to e-Commerce activities. 9. Summarize financial data for management review and decision-making. Tax Compliance: 10. Assist in preparing and filing tax returns related to e-Commerce transactions. 11. Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws. Inventory Management: 12. Collaborate with the operations team to manage and reconcile e-Commerce inventory. 13. Conduct periodic audits to verify accuracy and completeness of inventory records. Budgeting and Forecasting: 14. Support the development and monitoring of budgets related to e-Commerce operations. 15. Assist in forecasting financial trends and identifying potential areas for cost savings. Financial Analysis: 16. Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving e-Commerce profitability. 17. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes. 18. Analyze accounting systems, identify any inaccuracies, and recommend improvement measures to all. Strong proficiency with Quickbooks and Paylocity. 9. High-level skills in math. 10. Ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking to meet changing deadlines. 11. Excellent proofing skills producing error free documents. 12. Practices good telephone etiquette skills, customer service, communication, and negotiation skills. 13. Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements 14. Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records 15. Must be responsible and reliable. 16. Previous experience in an e-Commerce setting is highly desirable. 3. Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a focus on e-Commerce transactions. 4. 5+ years recent bookkeeping experience. Must be authorized to work in the United States
