About our Store:
In 1911, E.F. Sewell founded his first hardware store on the foundation of an unrelenting work ethic and honesty that still defines his legacy. One-hundred years later, the Sewell Family opened a men's retail store to honor E.F.'s legacy.
E.F. Outfitters equips West Texans for the experiences that its namesake conquered by providing today's trailblazers with the bold, trusted goods that their journeys call for. Our store captures the vigor and dedication of E.F. Sewell, a man who prided himself on taking care of customers, even when times were lean. We pride ourselves in being a store that showcases unique gift and apparel items that aren't commonly found in a retail store in our region.
We currently have one location in Odessa and a second location in Midland in development.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Store Ambassador to join our team. As a Store Ambassador, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service and team collaboration. Your strong work ethic, sales abilities, and ability to be a great teammate will be crucial to our success.
Responsibilities:
This is a retail sales role, which encompasses the 4 responsibilities below at a minimum. If you're outgoing, friendly, and a great salesperson with upstanding character, this is your team!
* Sales Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional sales abilities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Customer Service: Uphold our reputation for outstanding customer service by ensuring every customer interaction is welcoming, helpful, and leaves a lasting positive impression.
* Operational Efficiency: Assist in overseeing day-to-day store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Strategic Planning: Assist the store manager in identifying new product lines we should carry in the store.
Requirements
* College degree preferred, not required. Will also consider students enrolled in school.
* Ability to work 20-35 hours/week
* Ability to work Saturdays (every other Saturday at a minimum)
* Upstanding character and strong sales ability
* Friendly and outgoing, not afraid to proactively approach customers
* Strong organization skills
* Some light lifting required as needed to move inventory to external events
Qualifications:
In order to be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily, have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, complete a drug screening, background screening, and provide all government I-9 requirements. A combination of education, experience, and training is always considered.
