DescriptionLocation: Gorham, MaineJob Summary:The E-Waste Recycling Associate role is responsible for the efficient sorting, processing, and distribution of incoming donated technology, electronic equipment, and electronic waste materials to appropriate channels, ensuring maximum recovery value while maintaining environmental compliance standards. The role requires strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations and contributes to Goodwill's commitment to sustainability by maximizing the re-use of electronic goods.Inspect incoming donated technology and electronic equipment to determine condition and appropriate processing routeSort, categorize, and pack donated technology and electronic equipment based on resale potential and recycling requirementsSafely operate forklift to move pallets within the warehousePackage and prepare items for distribution to resale department or recycling partnersMaintain accurate records of processed materials and equipmentFollow all safety protocols and environmental regulationsAssist in loading and unloading trucksKeep work area clean and organizedReport any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to managementPromote and uphold Goodwill's mission and values in all interactions with staff, customers, and stakeholders.Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, fostering a culture of safety within the team.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Valid forklift certificationBasic computer skills for inventory managementAbility to stand for extended periods and work in a warehouse environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsReliable transportationBasic interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to stand, sit, and lift for extended periods.Ability to pass criminal background check.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows.At Goodwill Northern New England, we believe in supporting our employees just as much as they support our mission.
