- Annual compensation between $60,000 - $92,000, PLUS a quarterly performance-based, discretionary incentive. What You Will Do - Essential Functions The EAP Consultant serves as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders within the USPS. As such, providing expert level consultation will be one of the primary responsibilities. The EAP Consultant will provide EAP services including short-term counseling/problem solving, educational and training activities, referral, monitoring, behavioral health consultation, and follow-up. The EAP Consultant is responsible for providing both counseling and consultation activities, either in-person, telephonically or via video. Leadership - Lead the Case Management team, clearly communicating initiatives and motivating adoption of changes to enhance clinical outcomes and the value for customers.Please note the position is hybrid and requires local travel and in-office time. The USPS office location is in Garden City, NY.
- Consultation Expertise: Provide consultation, training of, and assistance to USPS and union leadership and actively promote the EAP program and services.
- Behavioral Health Clinical Expertise: Provide counseling and coaching through one-on-one interactions, either in-person or telephonically, and provide critical incident response and psychological first aid for events that impact the workforce.
- Manage calls: Provide telephonic consultation, triage and referrals to callers through the virtual call center/Service Center.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in on-going continuing education as required to maintain required clinical licensure and certifications and special committees or projects.

- This position is a federally contracted position with the United States Postal Service. which has specific requirements for all candidates which include:
- The ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen prior to their date of hire.
- The ability to undergo a Public Trust background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication.
- US Citizenship for at least 5 years.
- Reliable transportation, an active driver's license, and auto insurable. A motor vehicle record (MVR) will be requested.
- Master's and/or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the corresponding professional association(s) in a clinical mental health field.
- 5+ years of clinical experience after receiving a graduate degree.
- A current state license or state certification to practice as a mental health practitioner (e.g., social worker, clinical psychologist, marriage and family counselor and professional counselor) in the state(s) where practice takes place. If such licensure/certification is not available in that state, the individual will hold appropriate certification from a recognized national certification organization or board.
