Early Childhood ProgramPosition: Early Childhood Assistant Teachers(Positions will be hired via EDUStaff)Location: Howell Public Schools - Little Highlanders Learning CenterHours: 30-40 hours/week; Monday through Friday; 10:00 AM - 6:00 PMWage Rate: Starting at $15.50/hour or more based upon experience/education and/or certificationBenefits: Paid time off including holidays, vacation and Act of God daysESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Must be caring and patient.
- Must work well with others.
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing and program guidelines.
- Implement strong classroom management.
- Have daily communication with parents.
- Supervise children in the classroom and on the playground at all times.
- Regular, predictable, in-person attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience working with children.
- Customer service experience.
- Qualifications/certification to substitute in any of the Early Childhood Programs preferred (Preschool, Childcare, Kids Kare)
- Infant/Child/Adult First Aid/CPR Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents, administrators, students, staff and the general public consistent with the duties of this position.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
- Must have phone skills and communicate with people over the phone.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
