Failure to provide a transcript or credential evaluation report may result in your application being rejected and you will not be able to continue.Department Contact Information: InquiriesYvette Atencio, Human Resources Director - (800) ###-####, ext. 5538 or 719-###-####Lynette Bates, Vice President of Academic Affairs - (800) ###-####, ext. 5559 or 719-###-####Description Trinidad State (TSC) Early Childhood Education (ECE) Liaison and Recruiter is responsible for working collaboratively with faculty and administrators at TSC and CU Denver to coordinate a two-year AA in ECE and a four-year BA with ECE license. Students in the program are candidates in T-PREP at TSC who can earn an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from TSC and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Human Development (EDHD) from CU Denver in a seamless program delivered locally on the TSC campus in Alamosa, Colorado. The Early Childhood Education Liaison and Recruiterwill be an employee of TSC and collaborate and receive support from both TSC and CU Denver administrators. This position is a .75 FTE which includes a full benefit package including health, dental, vision, and retirement. Examples of Duties•Coordinating and staffing ECE courses at TSC•Supporting and expanding partnerships with community-based early childhood programs and K-12 school districts•Supervising teacher candidates working in the field•Teaching seminars for T-PREP teaching candidates•Building local early childhood education capacity, and•Supporting outreach and recruitment•Other duties as assignedAdvising & Learning Community Development
  • Support students on the TSC campus which will include some travel and distance advising structures.
  • Collaborate with CU Denver T-PREP Residency Coordinator to develop a collaborative teacher education community to ensure alignment and coherence within and across clinical blocks of coursework as well as identify necessary student supports.
  • Support students in connecting with key advising staff at TSC and CU Denver
Partnerships & Clinical Supervision
  • Problem-solves issues students and/or school partners may experience.
Recruitment and Admissions
  • Collaborate with recruitment staff from TSC and CU Denver to ensure the program is highlighted in all recruitment efforts and that staff has up-to-date, high-quality materials that clearly communicate key aspects of the residency program.
  • Support interested students in connecting with key personnel at TSC and/or CU Denver to facilitate admission, advising and financial aid processes.
  • Problem-solve issues students and/or school partners may experience.
  • Collaborate with the T-PREP Recruitment and Advising Specialist and other TSC recruitment personnel to develop annual recruitment and outreach plan.
  • Become proficient in the systems that track students from inquiry to admission and provide high touch support through this process.
  • Organize and attend local recruitment events to support T-PREP recruitment.
Administration
  • Work with TSC leadership and staff and grant leadership and staff to support data collection and facilitate grant and program processes.
  • Collaborate with TSC leaders to coordinate and staff ECE courses.
  • Lead administrative tasks related to T-PREP infrastructure and success.
Required Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities•Knowledge of and experience in PK-12 education and teacher education settings•Knowledge and experience with local public schools and community-based partners•Knowledge of social, academic, and financial resources and supports for underrepresented students in higher education•Knowledge of and experience in working with diverse communities•Proficiency in use of computers for technical writing, project planning, communications, dissemination, and database managementMinimum Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in education or related field
  • A strong base of working with diverse student populations
  • Leadership experience in schools, project coordination, and student support services
