The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas.   • Base hourly rate of $20.52 to $22.93 based on relevant experience.

Primary Duties for Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant:
  • Provide attendant care services which assist with promoting successful completion of daily activities.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-through for client goal attainment.
  • Transport clients to/from activities or appointments when necessary as well as service as attendant on van transportation routes.
  • Encourage and support clients engagement in pro-social activities.
Minimum Qualifications for Early Childhood Group Leader/AttendantEDUCATION AND LICENSURE:Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or human service field preferred. Equivalent work experience in the human services field, or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education, with one year of experience substituting for one year of education, may be considered.EXPERIENCE:Required: One year volunteer or paid experience working with individuals in the community. Preferred: experience providing services to individuals with mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities.Must have valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and daily access to vehicle.
