Responsible for communication with the Program Coordinator concerning these individuals. Supervision Reports directly to the Gymnastics/Early Childhood Program Coordinator Job Summary
- Attend mandatory staff training sessions
- Responsible for assisting in the planning of activities
- Implement facility policies and safety rules.
- Responsible for teaching early childhood classes
- Communicate with parents/guardians on program activities and child's progress
- Report all injures and unsafe conditions to Program Coordinator.
- Ensure safety and supervision of all activities.
- Oversee sign-in and pick up by parents.
- Report regularly to Program Director to provide updates and receive feedback.
- Organize and maintain a neat and clean room space.
- Prepare list of needed program supplies and give to Program Director prior to the beginning of programs.
- Duties as assigned/or necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or working towards Bachelor's in Education or related discipline.
- Experience working with children
- At least 1 year experience working in a classroom setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to read staff manuals, memos, and attendance sheets
- Ability to complete attendance sheets, accident reports, incident reports and participant behavior reports using prescribed format
- Ability to give verbal direction to subordinates, communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, citizens, and the public as well as other employees
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.
