SALARY: $60-65KOVERVIEW: The Early Childhood Training Specialist will possess expertise and a professional background in developing, coordinating, and implementing training to support the development of early childhood educators in home-and center-based settings. Training opportunities will be offered to educators throughout the 13-county region (Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller, and Wharton) to support high-quality early childhood programming. *This position is grant-funded through September 2025 and subject to renewal.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements training for early childhood educators: Under the guidance of the manager, design, produce, and implement training for home-based and center-based childcare providers, both in-person and virtual formats covering several topics that will support increasing quality education approaches including the core fundamentals of Reggio Emilia. Ensure all trainers are vetted and booked, materials are prepared, and coordination of each is implemented to the highest standards. Produce training manual and document all training curriculum and materials for each training. Evening and weekend training sessions will be required to meet the needs of the providers attending training. Support the early childhood coaches by ensuring the training is in coordination with their coaching and enhances the overall development of early educators. Keep current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in early childhood education, and incorporate this knowledge into training materials and sessions.
  • Reporting and compliance with required deliverables: Collect and analyze training participants' feedback to measure training programs' effectiveness and make improvements as needed. Support the manager in ensuring all monthly reporting is prepared and submitted on time for all programmatic areas. Ensure all programmatic aspects are properly and timely documented. Compiles and assists in communicating outcomes and results to staff and stakeholders. Support other efforts that advance the program's goals, such as presentations, tours, and training to service providers and potential clients, community conversations, reporting results, and promotion of key initiative activities. Performs other related duties or special assignments in support of the program.
  • Constituent Relationships: Works with program staff to identify, develop, and implement opportunities to communicate the program's impact, goals, and priorities to constituents. Be an effective and compelling communicator of these to advance engagement and brand value.
  • Other: Performs special assignments and other work as needed. A willingness to take on additional duties to ensure the team's success is essential. Evening and weekend work is required.
