Job Description:
We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Early Intervention Specialist to provide injury prevention services onsite for a large automobile manufacturer in Montgomery. We strive to increase the industrial athlete's ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury through intervention at the early onset of discomfort in a dynamic work environment.   • Consistent schedule with a consistent 40-hour workweek

What will you be doing in this role?
  • Proactive Prevention®
  • Early symptom intervention
  • Case management
  • Implementing wellness initiatives
  • Health education and health promotions
  • Class instruction
  • Supervision of exercise floor to ensure the safety of participants and proper use of equipment
  • Ergonomic program support working to increase the workforce's ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • A background in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Health & Wellness, Health Promotion, Human Performance, Public Health, Physical Education, Fitness, Personal Training, or Athletics
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it before start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
  • Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
