Job Summary:The Early Learning and Family Engagement Coach is responsible for providing support to the Head Start and Early Head Start program, working in partnership with the program's local Early Learning, FamilyService and Health Leadership. The Early Learning and Family Engagement Coach plays a critical role in supporting the program in operational and programmatic start-up, staffing, ongoing professionaldevelopment, monitoring, and technical support. The Lead will be required to meet the needs and expectations of the partner, and positively adjust with new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Takes responsibility for managing strategic planning and implementation support for the program. Works effectively with Shine Early Learning partner leadership to monitor start-up benchmarks and refine support strategies to assure successful startup and transition. Provides training and technical assistance guidance to help the program to adapt Shine Early Learning's core program strategies in order to achieve positive family and child outcomes. Ensures all record keeping and reporting systems are established and meet Shine Early Learning and state licensing guidelines. Supports the interview, hiring, and onboarding process of all staffing positions as identified in the partner's organizational structure under early education, family engagement and health. Provides individualized follow-up and support to the leadership to develop and outline professional development strategies. Provides training on coaching, supervision and observation of these professional learning techniques to provide feedback to enhance skills and build capacity through the reflective cycle. Represents partners positively while networking with local agencies in pertinent educational and family engagement organizations. Continually adapt and improve educational and family engagement resources to meet the needs, expectations and benefits of all parties. Provides guidance, monitor, and assist the program to develop systems for eligibility, recruitment, selection, and enrollment/intake process for returning and new families, including the development of a comprehensive recruitment plan that will ensure the program is fully enrolled. Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.Job Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in early education. Head Start/ preschool and special needs experience preferred.2. 3+ years experience in the early childhood field and/or experience in engaging families.3. Experience in coaching, supervision, program management and/or providing technical assistance.4. Large and small group facilitation/training experience.5. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.6. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.7.
