Even after a project's completion, we work to ensure that our Customers are satisfied.Competitive Compensation based on experience, plus we offer a comprehensive benefit package, including Health, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance, 401K Employer Match, Vacation and Holiday Pay.Job DetailsAs an Earthwork Estimator reporting to the Vice President of Estimating you will have the opportunity to:RESPONSIBILITIESReview proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.Visit Project Sites and attend Pre-Bid/Bid Openings.Estimate production time, crew sizes, equipment materials needed to complete an estimate.Prepare Earthwork, Site Development, and Excavating take-offs based on scope analysis.Understand project risks.Contact and acquire quotes from material vendors and subcontractors for each project that is being estimated.Compare and summarize quotes from vendors and subcontractors.Analyze post-bid pricing and historical job costing data to evaluate current market conditions.Update the Material and Vendor Codebooks on a semiannual basis.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution OR a minimum 2 years' experience estimating heavy civil / site projects (earthwork and utilities) public and privateCan work independently.Detail oriented, analytical, and organized.Skilled in assuming responsibility and reaching deadlines.Can work independently.Proficiency or familiarity using the following software programs: HCSS Estimate, Agtek, MS Office Excellent written and verbal skillsInterested in hearing more?
