As a part of the Client Compliance Department, the Ebilling Specialist/Senior Specialist will provide direct support to the Client Operations Billing Department as part of the Ebilling team, which includes, but is not limited to: daily reporting and monitoring of the status of ebills in the eBillingHub, client/matter and vendor setup and maintenance, routine timekeeper and rate submissions, review of client guidelines, troubleshooting ebilling issues, vetting vendor invoices from ebilling vendor websites, Task and Activity code setup and maintenance, providing ebilling training to billers, collaborating with billers regarding outstanding ebills, and ad hoc reporting as needed. The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking, proficient in ebilling platforms, Excel and other Microsoft applications, a team player and a problem-solver. Responsibilities
  • Supporting all aspects of ebilling for assigned clients, including monitoring of submitted invoices, submission of timekeeper rates, and new client/matter setups
  • Submitting ebills to clients using eBillingHub and various ebilling vendor sites
  • Create and maintain Phase/Task/Activity lists in Aderant for ebilling and internal Firm reporting
  • Review new Outside Counsel Guidelines to support proper ebill set-up and submissions
  • Participate in monthly new timekeeper and rate submissions for ebilling clients
  • Provide assistance to Client Operations Billing teams with ebilling issues
  • Ensure that reduced and rejected ebills are attended to on a timely basis
  • Diligently review statuses of submitted ebills
  • Determine next step for reduced and rejected invoices
  • Notify assigned Client Operations Billers of all invoices to be resubmitted or appealed
  • Monitor progress of ebills to be resubmitted and escalate when necessary
  • Provide reports and analysis as requested by Partners and Management
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Ensure adherence to Firm policies
  • Proactively seek and identify enhancements to, and maintain current documentation of existing practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years legal ebilling experience using various platforms required
  • Advanced knowledge of LEDES format standards and UTBMS coding
  • Experience using eBillingHub or similar platform
  • Familiarity with various ebilling vendor sites is required
  • Experience with Aderant or similar legal finance platform preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with the Client Operations Billing Teams (must be a team player and have superior customer service skills)
  • Ability to adapt to cyclical periods, peak workloads, new assignments and deadlines in order to work effectively within a fast paced environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to perform the essential duties of the position

This position may require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis. The anticipated compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
