The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national not-for-profit association established in 1863 & representing over 108,000 veterinarians working in private & corporate practice, government, industry, academia, & uniformed services, is seeking a Systems Operations Administrator for our Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) program in our Education & Research Division located in Schaumburg, IL. Structured to work for its members, AVMA acts as a collective voice for its membership & for the profession. Our mission is to lead the profession by advocating for our members & advancing the science & practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal & human health.
Reporting to the ECFVG Program Manager, this newly created position will provide technical & overall operational support for the ECFVG certification management platform that supports the ECFVG process. They will serve as the technical liaison between the platform provider & the ECFVG team & are responsible for the overall operations, utilization, & configuration of the ECFVG program platform; overseeing the data management, maintenance & integrity of ECFVG information within the database.
To be successful in this role, you must be highly collaborative & passionate about AVMA's mission & veterinary education. Additional qualifications include:
· BS/BA degree is required
· Minimum of 5 years' of related experience as an operations manager/administrator, not-for-profit association experience a plus
· Experience working with customer relationship management systems, experience with Cobalt a plus
· Experience/understanding with certification processes a plus
· Understanding of 3rd party integrations
· Working knowledge with Microsoft Products, Power Automate a plus for workflow automation
· Ability to troubleshoot & resolve technical issues
· Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors
· Strong business & technical aptitude
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to gain new technical skills quickly
· Excellent customer service skills, responsive attitude
· Strong oral & written communication skills; ability to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms
· Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail; as well as excellent planning, & organizational skills
· Must be able to work independently with limited instruction & exercise judgment within defined parameters
· Must be able to work outside of normal business hours as needed
